Job Summary
We are seeking a Motor Coach Dispatcher for a direct hire opportunity in Spartanburg, SC. This role is ideal for a transportation or logistics professional who enjoys coordinating people, schedules, vehicles, and customer expectations in a fast-paced charter operations environment.
The Motor Coach Dispatcher serves as a key communication point between drivers, customers, and management, helping ensure each trip is scheduled accurately, staffed appropriately, and completed safely. This position offers the opportunity to be part of a team-focused transportation operation where organization, professionalism, safety, and reliable communication are highly valued.
This is a strong opportunity for someone who takes pride in supporting drivers, solving scheduling challenges, maintaining compliance, and contributing to a smooth customer experience. Key Responsibilities
- Review, verify, and coordinate charter trip schedules to ensure accuracy, completeness, and operational readiness.
- Assign qualified drivers to trips based on customer needs, driver availability, experience, restrictions, and motor coach familiarity.
- Communicate trip assignments, schedule changes, and paperwork requirements to drivers through verbal and electronic communication.
- Prepare, distribute, collect, and review trip documentation, driver orders, itineraries, and compliance-related paperwork.
- Communicate with customers as needed to confirm trip details, schedules, contacts, and service expectations.
- Support DOT compliance, quarterly driver meetings, driver training, recruiting efforts, and other operational needs as assigned.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $18 to $22 per hour.
