Special Education Teacher - Glendale, CA

You’ll manage a specialized classroom setting (SDC) serving either TK-1st graders or 2nd-5th graders, with small groups for meaningful individual attention (caseloads of 5-6 students per class). Two positions are available, each offering collaboration and growth alongside passionate colleagues.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active California teaching credential with a moderate/severe special education authorization (required)
• Previous experience in a Special Day Class (SDC) setting is highly valued
• Expertise working with students who have moderate to severe learning needs
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
• Commitment to fostering student growth and social-emotional development

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for assigned students
• Deliver engaging and differentiated instruction tailored to students’ unique needs
• Collaborate with instructional aides, therapists, and parents to maximize student success
• Create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
