Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A closed-door pharmacy in Topeka, KS is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist for a contract to hire opportunity. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic long-term care environment, supporting medication management and ensuring quality patient care.
Schedule & Hours:
- Monday through Friday, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM
- Saturday rotation
Responsibilities:
- Checking and verifying stat medications, Ekits, and blister pack medications
- Supervising pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow
- Reviewing and checking IV preparations to ensure accuracy and safety
- Supporting medication production goals in a fast-paced long-term care setting
Qualifications:
- Current Kansas pharmacist license in hand
- Prior experience in long-term care highly preferred, with a solid understanding of workflow and production pace
- Pharmacy staff pharmacist experience with competency in verifying medications and supervising staff
- Open to candidates transitioning from retail pharmacy with a positive attitude and ability to adapt quickly
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
