Step into a fulfilling contract role supporting students and school communities in a vibrant setting near Aurora, CO. This full-time, onsite opportunity covers a maternity leave from November 1, 2026, through January 29, 2027, at the Nova Center. Professionals with a passion for assessment and advocacy—whether as a School Psychologist or Social Worker—are invited to apply. Candidates must hold (or be actively applying for) a current CDE license. Travelers are welcome and should be prepared to discuss their relocation planning, including knowledge of the region and housing options.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active CDE School Psychologist or Social Worker license by the start date (or documentation of application for travelers)
  • Demonstrated experience in school-based support, mental health interventions, or related assessments
  • Approachable, upbeat demeanor and ability to articulate skills and experience during interviews clearly and enthusiastically
  • Prior exposure to caseloads of approximately 40 students is preferred
  • Strong teamwork and communication abilities in a multi-disciplinary educational environment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide onsite psychological, counseling, and/or social work services for students with diverse needs
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and other support staff to develop interventions and plans tailored to individual student strengths
  • Complete assessments, document progress, and help facilitate IEP or 504 planning as appropriate
  • Foster a positive and inclusive school atmosphere, acting as a key advocate for student well-being
