Qualifications:

  • Michigan Special Education Certification (required)
  • Michigan Administrative Certification
  • Previous experience supporting Special Education at the high school level
  • Strong track record overseeing IEPs, REEDs, METs, and related processes
  • Demonstrated understanding of Michigan’s Special Education compliance and reporting requirements
  • Prior leadership in a Special Education coordinator or supervisor role highly preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall leadership for Special Education services and compliance within the high school setting
  • Guide and support staff in developing IEPs, REEDs, METs, and associated documentation
  • Advise on compliance issues, offering clear direction related to Michigan Special Education laws and updates
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of Special Education paperwork and reporting
  • Promote best practices, professional development, and shared goals among team members
