Home Infusion Staff Pharmacist - Birmingham, Alabama

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Providing per diem pharmacist coverage in Hoover, AL (just south of Birmingham), this opportunity focuses on infusion and IV verification in a home infusion setting.

Location: Hoover, AL
Schedule: Wednesday 9/2 to Friday 9/4, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Job Type: Contract, Per Diem

Responsibilities:

• Verify and check intravenous (IV) medications, including total parenteral nutrition (TPN) orders
• Ensure accuracy and safety during medication preparation and dispensing
• Utilize CareTend pharmacy system for documentation and order verification
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to support patient care in home infusion settings

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current Alabama pharmacist license in good standing
• Prior experience in infusion pharmacy preferred
• Inpatient pharmacy experience with IV/TPN verification acceptable
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication checking
• Familiarity with CareTend system is a plus
• IV certified or demonstrated competency in handling sterile preparation
