Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A closed-door pharmacy in Topeka, KS, is seeking a licensed pharmacist for a contract-to-hire opportunity starting ASAP. This role requires working in a fast-paced environment focused on long-term care medication management.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Saturday rotation
Key Responsibilities:
- Checking and verifying stat medications, Ekits, and blister pack medications
- Supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow
- Verifying intravenous (IV) preparations accurately and timely
Desired Experience:
- Prior long-term care (LTC) pharmacy experience highly preferred to understand the workflow and meet production targets in this setting
- Candidates from retail pharmacy backgrounds with a positive attitude and ability to maintain pace will also be considered
- Current Kansas pharmacist license required
