Job Description
Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a contract Occupational Therapist within a dynamic school setting. This onsite position begins November 1 and extends through May 21, 2027, offering you the chance to collaborate with a dedicated educational team near Arvada, CO. Your expertise will help students succeed academically and functionally, and you’ll have a consistent, part-time schedule of three days per week—giving you valuable work-life balance.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist license
- Colorado Department of Education (CDE) authorization required, or documented proof of your CDE application in progress
- Previous school-based experience is desired, especially supporting K-12 students
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration abilities
- Ability to adapt to varied caseloads and integrate effectively with educators, families, and support staff
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and student-centered care
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and develop individualized treatment plans for students with diverse abilities
- Deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions onsite in accordance with student IEPs
- Work with teachers and parents to integrate therapy goals and strategies into the school environment
- Maintain detailed records and necessary documentation in compliance with educational and professional standards
- Participate in IEP meetings and support educational staff with best practices for accessibility and inclusion
