Locums General Surgery Physician

We are seeking aLocums General Surgery Physician to provide 24-hour emergency department andinpatient general surgery coverage in Brigham City, Utah. Coverage is neededthroughout October, with the opportunity to support a busy call schedule.

Schedule & Coverage

• Shift: 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 a.m. (24-hour call)
• Coverage Need: Approximately 30 24-hour call shifts per month
• All October Dates Needed
• EMR: Meditech

Responsibilities

• Provide general surgery coverage for emergency department and inpatient patients.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute surgical conditions.
• Respond to emergency surgical consultations and provide treatment as appropriate.
• Coordinate patient care with nursing, technical, and radiology staff.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation in Meditech.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
• Active Utah medical license
• Active Utah DEA registration
• Utah license and Utah DEA are required. IMLC candidates will not be considered due to the immediate staffing need.
