Senior Technical & Operational Accounting Manager

We are working with a growing Austin-area company that is looking to add a Hybrid Senior Accountant to its team. This is a highly visible role that offers a blend of accounting, analysis, and cross-functional collaboration, with significant exposure to operations, process improvement, and financial reporting.

What You'll Do:

• Manage month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Support accounting for inventory, operational transactions, and cost-related activities.
• Analyze financial and operational variances, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to management.
• Partner with operations and finance teams to improve reporting accuracy and strengthen internal controls.
• Assist with the development and enhancement of accounting processes and reporting frameworks.
• Support audit activities by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Contribute to ERP implementations, system improvements, and process automation initiatives.
• Help build scalable accounting processes to support a growing organization.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with inventory accounting, cost accounting, manufacturing accounting, or operational finance is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, Power Query, lookups, and data analysis.
• Experience working with large datasets and translating data into meaningful business insights.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both finance and operational teams.
• Detail-oriented professional who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
