Pharmacy Technician - Nashville, TN

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A pharmacy technician position is available in a mail order, renal specialty pharmacy processing approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily. This contract role offers a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, with an ASAP start date.

Responsibilities:

• Support customer service operations by verifying shipping information, entering new patient details, and updating patient profiles within the pharmacy software system.
• Assist in the dispensing process by accurately filling and preparing medications for shipment.
• Utilize the Wellsky pharmacy order entry system effectively, noting that the pharmacy operates without automation.
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and ensure patient safety by adhering to procedures.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Previous experience as a pharmacy technician in a mail order or specialty pharmacy setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with the Wellsky pharmacy software system is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and medication handling.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to work independently in both customer service and dispensing roles.
