Join a dynamic community pharmacy team dedicated to prescription accuracy, patient care, and regulatory compliance. This direct hire position offers an opportunity to provide leadership and operational guidance as a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC), while also performing vital Staff Pharmacist duties.

Location: Deer Trail, CO
Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Sunday: Closed

Role Overview:
This role demands a detail-oriented pharmacist skilled in supervising pharmacy operations and supporting a high-volume workflow. You will interpret and verify prescriptions, conduct Drug Utilization Reviews (DUR), counsel patients, and lead the pharmacy team including Pharmacy Technicians and Support Specialists. Compliance with federal, state, and manufacturer regulations will be a key responsibility, acting as a backup to the PIC as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify prescription orders for accuracy and authenticity
  • Provide leadership to pharmacy staff and ensure smooth daily operations
  • Counsel patients on medications, including interactions, side effects, and storage
  • Collaborate with prescribers and healthcare professionals for prescription clarification
  • Manage pharmacy technology, including robotics and automation systems
  • Assist with medication procurement and shipping/delivery processes
  • Support compliance efforts with FDA and other regulatory bodies
  • Maintain productivity and accuracy in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications:

  • PharmD degree from an accredited school of pharmacy
  • Active Pharmacist license in the state of employment
  • Minimum of 1 year pharmacy experience preferred
  • Experience in retail pharmacy or insurance/healthcare settings is a plus
  • Familiarity with standard pharmacy dispensing procedures
