Inpatient Staff Pharmacist

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

We're seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist to join a highly respected medical center in Baton Rouge, LA. 

Details: 

• Start: ASAP
• Type: Full-time, 40 hours/week
• Varied Shifts: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 12:30 PM–9:00 PM
• Rotating Weekends/On-Call
• Duration: Minimum 90 days, with potential for extension or temp-to-perm 
• System: EPIC  

Responsibilities: 

• Perform inpatient pharmacy operations and medication order entry
• Prepare and complete IV medications
• Utilize Pyxis and pharmacy inventory systems
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and hospital staff
• Participate in rotating weekend and on-call coverage

Requirements: 

• Louisiana pharmacist license in good standing 
• Inpatient hospital pharmacy experience  
• Epic experience preferred, but willing to train
• Ability to work a variable schedule, including weekends and rotating on-call coverage
