Express Employment Professionals is hiring Warehouse Associates and Material Handlers for a busy distribution center in Wheeling, WV! Pay: $16.00-$17.00 per hour

This Warehouse Associate position is ideal for dependable, motivated individuals who enjoy hands-on work and are comfortable working in a fast-paced distribution environment. Warehouse Associates will be responsible for receiving, scanning, picking, packing, replenishing, and preparing products for shipment while safely operating a variety of material handling equipment.

Warehouse Associate Responsibilities

• Receive large boxes and products at the warehouse dock
• Scan products using an RF scanner
• Enter product and inventory information into a computer system
• Replenish warehouse inventory and stock
• Pick large and small products using a voice-to-pick system
• Operate material handling equipment to safely pick, move, and transport products
• Palletize large products onto skids and wrap products for shipment
• Pack smaller products into boxes for shipping
• Maintain an organized and safe warehouse work area
• Rotate between warehouse departments and job duties as needed
• Follow all warehouse safety procedures and productivity standards

Warehouse Equipment

Warehouse Associates may be trained to operate a variety of warehouse and material handling equipment, including:

• Order picker / cherry picker
• Forklift
• Pallet jack
• Walkie rider

Warehouse Job Requirements

• Previous warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or material handling experience is helpful but not required for all positions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Ability to meet hourly productivity quotas and performance expectations
• Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, stoop, and lift throughout an 8-hour shift or longer
• Willingness to work overtime with little to no advance notice
• Ability to learn and safely operate various warehouse equipment
• Flexibility to work in different warehouse departments as needed
