Intervention Specialist (SPED) – Columbus, OH

We are seeking a dedicated Intervention Specialist to support students in a K–1st grade setting in Columbus, Ohio. This is a full-time opportunity working in a resource room with a small caseload and providing targeted academic and special education support.

Position Details:

• Location: Columbus, OH

• Assignment: ASAP – End of School Year

• Grade Levels: Kindergarten–1st Grade

• Schedule: 8:10 AM – 3:50 PM

• Lunch: 30-minute lunch

• Setting: Resource Room

• Caseload: Approximately 6 students

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to K–1st grade students in a resource room setting

• Develop and implement instruction aligned with student IEP goals

• Provide targeted academic interventions based on individual student needs

• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed

• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and school staff

• Support IEP implementation, documentation, and progress monitoring

• Create a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment

Qualifications:

• Valid Ohio Special Education/Intervention Specialist licensure

• Experience working with elementary students preferred

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Ability to provide individualized instruction and targeted interventions
