A per diem pharmacist opportunity is available to provide essential vacation coverage in a busy retail pharmacy setting located in Ashland, OH. This role involves ensuring smooth pharmacy operations Monday through Friday, with required hours from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The pharmacy operates without a lunch closure, maintaining continuous service to its patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately verify and check over 200 prescriptions daily using PioneerRx software
• Perform data entry and verification of prescription information
• Answer incoming pharmacy phone calls professionally and efficiently
• Verify products and oversee daily pharmacy inventory, including signing for controlled and narcotic drug deliveries
• Collaborate with a team of three full-time pharmacy technicians to ensure high-quality patient care
• Provide consistent coverage during vacation periods, including November 25th coverage

Qualifications and Experience:

• Must hold a clear and active Ohio pharmacist license
• Minimum of 1 year recent retail pharmacy experience demonstrating accuracy and professionalism
• Familiarity working with PioneerRx software strongly preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM (Pharmacy open 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no lunch closure)
