This contract position offers stability through June 4, 2027, with a 37.5-hour workweek. The role focuses on providing specialized instruction within the ESN (Extensive Support Needs) program, at either the elementary or high school level. Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Current and active California Moderate/Severe or ESN teaching credential
- Previous experience supporting students with extensive support needs in school settings
- Skillful in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong collaboration abilities with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Effective communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Passion for creating an inclusive, supportive learning atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based special education instruction tailored to each student’s needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs addressing academic, behavioral, and social goals
- Manage student data, keep accurate records, and prepare progress reports
- Collaborate with general education staff and support personnel for integrated services
- Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes growth and independence
- Remain current on best practices in special education and compliance requirements
- Engage families as partners in their child’s educational journey
