Special Education Teacher - Olton, Texas

Experience meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting PreK to 1st-grade learners in an elementary setting. This contract position runs through May 2027 and offers a dynamic environment where you’ll make a difference every day. You’ll work closely with a manageable caseload, collaborating with six dedicated paraprofessionals to ensure individualized support for each student’s needs.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Special Education Teacher license in Texas (required)
• Experience writing IEPs and participating in ARD meetings
• Strong skills in communication and leadership, especially in guiding paraprofessionals
• Demonstrated ability to deliver targeted instruction to students with diverse needs, ages 3–7

Position Highlights:

• Contract runs ASAP through May 27, 2027
• 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday
• Direct caseload management of approximately 25–30 students (school-wide special education count: 90)
• Write, update, and implement IEPs; complete progress reports and documentation
• Attend and contribute to ARD meetings as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Supervise, motivate, and coordinate six paraprofessionals to drive student progress
