Position Overview

We are seeking a Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform routine and stat clinical laboratory testing across multiple disciplines, including Blood Bank, Chemistry, and Hematology. The role requires independent judgment, accuracy, and adherence to laboratory procedures and regulatory standards to ensure timely and reliable patient results.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and stat laboratory testing according to established procedures
• Conduct testing in Blood Bank, Chemistry, and Hematology sections
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of patient results
• Perform quality control procedures and maintain documentation
• Analyze proficiency testing samples within required timelines
• Perform equipment maintenance and basic troubleshooting
• Monitor reagents and supply inventory
• Handle critical specimens and results according to established protocols
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards (CAP, etc.)
• Support department goals related to quality, service, and patient satisfaction

Requirements

• Do you have at least 3 years of experience as a Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist?
• Associate Degree required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology preferred
• Florida State Technologist License required or ability to obtain during the interview process
