Job Description
We are looking for a Business Systems Administrator to support and enhance the technology platforms that power a growing investment advisory firm in the East Bay. This role centers on administering Salesforce and a portfolio of business applications while partnering with teams across the organization to improve workflows, strengthen system controls, and resolve day-to-day technology issues. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience managing SaaS platforms, a practical approach to automation, and the ability to turn business needs into reliable, user-friendly solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily administration of Salesforce, including configuration of objects, fields, user roles, permissions, reports, dashboards, and workflow automation.
• Provide timely troubleshooting and user support for Salesforce and other firm applications, ensuring employees can work efficiently across departments.
• Maintain and support key business platforms such as Orion, DocuSign, Box, Jump AI, Schwab Advisor Center, Fidelity Wealthscape, Calendly, and related tools.
• Manage user provisioning, security settings, application access, and routine system upkeep to maintain stable and compliant operations.
• Partner with software vendors and external IT resources to investigate issues, coordinate resolutions, and improve platform performance.
• Analyze current business processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement technology-driven improvements that reduce manual effort.
• Build, test, and maintain Salesforce Flows and other automations to streamline operations and support scalable business processes.
• Assist with system integrations, data transfers, upgrades, testing efforts, and broader technology initiatives across the firm.
• Create and maintain clear documentation for systems, procedures, integrations, and recurring administrative tasks while supporting onboarding, offboarding, access reviews, and security-related activities.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business systems, technology administration, or a related field.• At least 3 years of experience in Salesforce administration, business application support, or a similar systems-focused role.
• Demonstrated experience configuring Salesforce, including hands-on work with Flow and core administrative functions.
• Background administering SaaS platforms in a business environment.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to translate operational needs into practical system solutions.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document processes clearly and work collaboratively across teams.
• Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Experience in wealth management, investment advisory, or financial services environments is preferred, and Salesforce Administrator certification is a plus.
