Job Description
A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a Physical Therapist interested in making a difference in the lives of students in school settings near Mount Lemmon, AZ. This position is ideally suited for someone who enjoys working with a diverse student population, providing support to PreK-12th grade students across various classrooms and school environments. The assignment is for 30 hours per week and is set to begin as soon as possible.
Key qualifications and skills:
- Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in Arizona
- Previous experience working in schools or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Ability to adapt interventions within general and special education classrooms
- Comfortable providing services across a range of ages and abilities
Primary responsibilities:
- Evaluate students and develop individualized physical therapy plans to address developmental, motor, and mobility needs
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services in accordance with student IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, school staff, and families to promote student success
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings as required
