Senior Project Manager - Workday HCM Implementation

Job Summary:
Sparks Group is seeking a Senior Project Manager for a contract opportunity leading the payroll workstream within enterprise Workday and UKG initiatives. This role will partner with Payroll, HR, Finance, Operations, IT, and implementation vendors to manage delivery, testing, compliance considerations, and the transition to payroll operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage payroll workstream plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, and issues, coordinating delivery with the Senior Program Manager and stakeholders.

• Coordinate payroll requirements, configuration decisions, integrations, data validation, testing, cutover, and post-implementation stabilization.

• Maintain project documentation and status reports while supporting payroll process improvements, stakeholder readiness, training, and operational transition.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience providing business analysis, technology delivery, and senior project management support for enterprise HCM or payroll initiatives.

• Hands-on experience supporting both Workday and UKG payroll initiatives, with knowledge of payroll operations, compliance requirements, time and attendance, and related HCM processes.

• Strong project planning, communication, documentation, and stakeholder coordination skills; experience with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or Azure DevOps preferred. PMP or related certification preferred.

This job is Hybrid Remote.

Pay Range: Hourly $65.00 to $75.00
