Certified Anesthesia Technician – 13-Week Contract

Location: Valley Stream, NY 11580
Pay: $45–$50/hour
Assignment: 13-Week Contract
Schedule: Monday–Friday | No Weekends
Shift Options: 11:00 AM–7:00 PM OR 3:00 PM–11:00 PM
Experience: Minimum 1 year required

We are seeking an experienced Certified Anesthesia Technician for a 13-week contract assignment in Valley Stream, NY.

This position supports a busy surgical department consisting of 7 operating rooms, 1 Endoscopy suite, and 1 Interventional Radiology (IR) procedural area, handling up to 30 cases per day.

The department primarily supports orthopedic and robotic surgical specialties and serves an adult-only patient population.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain, and troubleshoot anesthesia equipment and supplies
• Assist anesthesia providers before, during, and after surgical procedures
• Set up anesthesia machines, monitors, pumps, and other equipment
• Ensure anesthesia equipment is properly functioning and ready for procedures
• Stock and maintain anesthesia supplies throughout the department
• Assist with room turnover and preparation for upcoming cases
• Support up to 30 surgical cases per day
• Work primarily within the OR with the ability to float to Endoscopy and Interventional Radiology as needed
• Follow established infection control, safety, and hospital protocols
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, CRNAs, nurses, and surgical staff

Equipment Experience Required

Candidates must have familiarity with:

• Dräger anesthesia machines
• Mindray anesthesia machines
• SonoSite
• Belmont Rapid Infuser/Transfuser
• GlideScope
• Philips patient monitors
• Alaris infusion pumps

Required Qualifications

• Certified Anesthesia Technician through ASATT required
• Minimum 1 year of Anesthesia Technician experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Strong knowledge of anesthesia equipment, supplies, and procedures
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Ability to float between the OR, Endoscopy, and IR procedural areas as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of Anesthesia Technician experience preferred
• Previous experience supporting orthopedic and robotic surgical cases preferred

Scrubs: Blue scrubs provided by the hospital
