Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Lunch: 12:00 PM
Overtime: Not currently planned but may be available based on project needs.
Job SummaryTEKsystems is seeking experienced Lead Low Voltage Technicians to support a structured cabling project involving fiber, Cat6, and instrumentation cabling. Candidates should be capable of working independently, leading installation efforts, and performing fiber terminations and testing activities.
Responsibilities- Install, route, secure, and dress fiber optic and Cat6 cabling.
- Read and interpret project drawings and cable schedules.
- Perform fiber optic terminations and testing.
- Test copper and fiber cabling using industry-standard testing equipment.
- Oversee and direct helpers on daily tasks.
- Ensure quality, safety, and installation standards are met.
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving cabling issues.
- Complete punch-downs, labeling, and documentation as required.
- Experience with structured cabling installations.
- Proficient with Cat6 and fiber optic cabling.
- Experience terminating and testing fiber.
- Ability to use copper and fiber certification/testing equipment.
- Experience leading crews or working as a senior technician.
- OSHA 10 Certification.
- Ability to pass a background check and 10-panel drug screen.
- MEWP (Lift) Certification preferred (can be provided onsite if needed).
- Work boots
- Jeans/work pants
- Shirts with sleeves
- TEKsystems will provide required PPE

Job SummaryTEKsystems is seeking Low Voltage Helpers to assist with the installation of fiber optic, Cat6, and instrumentation cabling on a commercial project. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in structured cabling and low voltage systems.
Responsibilities- Assist technicians with cable pulling and cable routing.
- Support installations of Cat6 and fiber optic cabling.
- Organize materials and maintain a clean work area.
- Label and dress cables according to project standards.
- Assist with mounting hardware, devices, and cable pathways.
- Follow safety procedures and site requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned by lead technicians and supervisors.
- Previous construction or low voltage experience preferred.
- Ability to work with hand and power tools.
- Reliable transportation and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work on ladders and lifts.
- OSHA 10 Certification.
- Ability to pass a background check and 10-panel drug screen.
- MEWP (Lift) Certification preferred (can be provided onsite if needed).

This is a Contract position based out of Omaha, NE.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
