We are looking for a Human Resources (HR) Generalist to support a healthcare organization in Dansville, New York through a Contract position. This role will contribute across core HR operations, including employee support, onboarding coordination, benefits administration, and recruiting activities. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of HR processes and can manage sensitive matters with professionalism, accuracy, and sound judgment.

Responsibilities:
• Provide day-to-day human resources support by assisting employees and leaders with workplace questions, policy interpretation, and employee relations matters.
• Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires, ensuring required documentation, orientation steps, and pre-employment processes are completed on time.
• Administer benefits-related tasks, including employee enrollment support, updates to coverage information, and responses to routine benefit inquiries.
• Manage leave processes such as FMLA and other absences by tracking documentation, maintaining records, and communicating next steps to employees.
• Maintain accurate employee information within HRIS platforms and perform regular updates to support compliance and reporting needs.
• Support full-cycle recruiting efforts by posting openings, screening candidates, arranging interviews, and assisting with hiring coordination.
• Prepare and maintain HR records, forms, and administrative documentation while safeguarding confidential employee information.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to help ensure HR practices are carried out consistently and in alignment with organizational guidelines.• Experience in a Human Resources Generalist or similar HR support role.
• Working knowledge of employee relations practices and day-to-day HR administration.
• Hands-on experience with onboarding, benefits support, and leave administration, including FMLA.
• Familiarity with HRIS systems and the ability to maintain accurate employee data.
• Experience supporting recruitment activities throughout the hiring process.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, along with discretion when managing confidential information.
