Home Infusion Staff Pharmacist IV Certified in Alabaster, AL

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a skilled pharmacist to provide per diem coverage in a reputable home infusion setting just south of Birmingham, AL. This contract position requires expertise in infusion pharmacy practices and the ability to work independently during assigned shifts.

Location:

• Alabaster, AL (near Hoover, AL)

Schedule:

• Wednesday, September 2 through Friday, September 4
• Shift hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and check medication orders and IV/TPN preparations for accuracy and safety
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy protocols and standards within the home infusion environment
• Utilize CareTend pharmacy system for order processing and documentation

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Current and active Alabama pharmacist license in good standing
• Prior experience in infusion pharmacy preferred; inpatient pharmacists familiar with IV/TPN verification also encouraged to apply
• Strong attention to detail and proficiency in checking/verifying medication orders
• Familiarity with the CareTend system is an asset
