Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 3 x 12-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in a Labor & Delivery setting throughout all stages of the perinatal experience
• Monitor maternal and fetal status, interpreting electronic fetal monitoring and responding to changes in patient condition
• Assist with labor support, delivery, and immediate postpartum care for mothers and newborns
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic health record

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or a compact state license that permits practice in NC
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1–2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Proficiency in electronic fetal monitoring

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with high-risk obstetric patients
• Familiarity with Epic or similar electronic health record systems
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
