Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care within an ICU setting
• Plan, implement, evaluate, and communicate all phases of nursing care for assigned patients in alignment with the ANA Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice
• Delegate patient care tasks appropriately based on skill level, experience, patient acuity, and available resources
• Provide leadership through preceptor roles, informal leadership activities, and participation in quality improvement efforts
• Mentor and teach team members; may participate on committees or unit-based projects
• Maintain required certifications including ACLS and BLS and any additional specialty certifications required by the work area

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license meeting applicable state requirements
• Graduate of an accredited baccalaureate, associate, or diploma nursing program accredited by ACEN or CCNE; if not accredited, at least one year of RN experience within the last 5 years in an applicable care setting is required
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care ICU nursing experience
• Minimum 6 months of travel nursing experience required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS/BLS) certificate of course completion required; must not expire within 3 months of start date
• ACLS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CVS ICU experience strongly preferred
• 1 year or more of recent travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience with ventricular assist devices (VAD), Impella, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), and/or balloon pumps
• Experience in Adult ICU, Medical ICU, Surgical ICU, or Multispecialty ICU; familiarity with Epic charting; CRRT and/or transplant experience; CCRN certification
