A day in this role

Step onto our Plymouth, MI shop floor and take ownership of a CNC workstation where precision and pace go hand-in-hand. You’ll kick off by reviewing work orders and complex prints, dialing in setups, and running production to tight tolerances. Throughout the shift, you’ll keep machines humming, verify dimensions with micrometers, calipers, and height gauges, and jump in to troubleshoot issues that could slow us down. Between runs, you’ll document what you’ve produced, record inspections, and perform routine maintenance that keeps our equipment in top shape.

What you’ll do
  • Run and tune CNC equipment for accurate, efficient throughput aligned to schedule and safety requirements
  • Conduct rigorous in-process and final inspections; act quickly on nonconformances to protect quality
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and process issues with intermediate-level adjustments to minimize downtime
  • Interpret detailed blueprints and technical drawings to ensure correct setup and machining strategy
  • Use advanced precision tools (digital micrometers, calipers, height gauges) to confirm specifications
  • Support machine setup, basic programming edits, offsets, and calibration when needed
  • Perform routine care and minor repairs to sustain equipment reliability
  • Maintain accurate logs for production, inspections, maintenance, and quality data

  • Work Location: Onsite – Plymouth, Michigan 48170
  • Shift: 2 (1:45pm - 10:00pm), 3 (9:45 pm – 6:00 am)
  • Pay Range: $18.50 - $21 per hour (depending on skills and experience)
What you bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of hands-on CNC operating experience
  • Foundational-to-intermediate knowledge of CNC machining processes

  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Comfort following and interpreting written and verbal work instructions
  • Solid basic math skills
Physical demands
  • Able to push/pull up to 30 pounds
  • Manual dexterity for handling small components
