Hybrid 3 days days/week onsite in Gaithersburg, MD
Our client is seeking a DevOps Developer with at least 2 years of experience to support software delivery and infrastructure automation in an Agile Scrum environment. The role requires strong Linux administration and Ansible skills, with hands-on experience in scripting, CI/CD, and DevSecOps practices. The position supports mission-critical systems and requires eligibility for Public Trust Clearance.
Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident with an active Public Trust clearance. Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. Responsibilities:- Install, configure, and maintain the software management toolset supporting development and deployment workflows.
- Develop, implement, and maintain software configuration management solutions.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes.
- Support CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable and secure software delivery.
- Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams in an Agile Scrum environment.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve system and pipeline issues.
- Ensure systems comply with organizational security and DevSecOps standards.
- Document processes, configurations, and best practices.
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on DevOps experience.
- Linux administration experience, Red Hat preferred.
- Proficiency in Ansible for configuration management and automation.
- Scripting with Bash and Python.
- Experience with Git, Jenkins, JIRA, and Crucible.
- Experience integrating security practices into CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with secure configuration and compliance standards.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Eligible for Public Trust Clearance.
- Nice to have: experience in government or regulated environments, familiarity with compliance frameworks and security scanning tools, exposure to containers or cloud platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, or Azure.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
