Day in the Life

Suit up, step into the cleanroom, and help build hardware destined for deep space. You’ll assemble electro‑mechanical, optical, and cable‑harness components for high‑reliability imaging systems that have already flown to Mars, the Moon, Jupiter, and beyond. Your day blends microscope soldering, precision build work, equipment operations, and meticulous documentation to NASA and IPC workmanship standards.

What You’ll Tackle

• Assemble precision electronic, mechanical, optical, and cable‑harness hardware following detailed work instructions
• Perform microscope soldering and high‑reliability rework to J-STD-001 criteria
• Operate SMT, AOI, X‑Ray, and Parylene equipment
• Build to NASA and IPC workmanship standards and document results with full traceability
• Support prototype builds, testing, troubleshooting, and mechanical integration
• Maintain comprehensive production records in a controlled cleanroom environment

What You Bring

• 3+ years of hands‑on solder assembly experience
• 5+ years operating SMT, AOI, X‑Ray, or Parylene equipment
• Expert hand‑soldering and cable‑harness assembly skills
• Ability to interpret schematics and mechanical drawings
• J-STD-001 certification (required)
• Exceptional attention to detail and quality
