A Day in the Life

Step into our Lafayette, IN 47904 operation and take the lead on precision. Your day begins by reviewing work orders and technical drawings, selecting the right tooling, and preparing Mazak CNC mills and lathes for production. You’ll set up machines to specification, align and secure workpieces, verify critical dimensions, and run initial parts—adjusting as needed to achieve repeatable, high-quality results. As production runs, you’ll monitor operations, keep equipment in top form with routine maintenance, and troubleshoot issues to keep schedules on track. Collaboration is part of the rhythm—sharing insights with teammates to improve processes—along with maintaining a safe, orderly workspace.

What You’ll Do

• Configure CNC machines to meet specification and production targets.
• Load/unload materials with precise alignment and secure fixturing.
• Observe machining performance, making adjustments to protect quality.
• Execute routine maintenance and conduct troubleshooting on CNC equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
• Partner with the team to elevate efficiency and throughput.
• Uphold safety standards and keep the work area organized.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent; CNC technical certification is a plus.
• Hands-on experience as a CNC Setup Operator or comparable position.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machinery, fixturing, and tooling.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation and print specifications.
• Meticulous attention to detail with solid problem-solving skills.
• Comfort working independently and alongside a team.
• Clear communication habits and a safety-first mindset.
