Job Title: General Laborer First Shift
Job Description
This role focuses on performing general labor duties to support daily warehouse and production operations during first shift. Responsibilities include breaking down boxes, handling materials, heavy lifting, maintaining organized work areas, and assisting with a variety of tasks to ensure an efficient and safe work environment. This position is ideal for a dependable, hardworking individual who enjoys physical work and thrives in a team-oriented setting.
Responsibilities
- Break down cardboard boxes, packaging materials, and other recyclables for proper disposal or recycling.
- Perform heavy lifting and material handling throughout the facility.
- Load, unload, move, and stage materials as needed to support operations.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas by removing debris, excess materials, and waste.
- Assist production, shipping, receiving, and warehouse teams with general labor tasks.
- Support packaging, palletizing, sorting, and assembly activities as required.
- Use hand tools and other equipment safely to complete assigned tasks.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures while performing physical labor duties.
- Identify and report safety concerns, damaged materials, or equipment issues to supervisors.
- Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals.
- Maintain reliable attendance and demonstrate flexibility to assist in various areas of the operation.
Essential Skills
- At least 1+ year of general labor, warehouse, manufacturing, or construction experience preferred.
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks and heavy lifting throughout the shift.
- Experience handling materials, loading/unloading products, or working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs consistently.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to perform a variety of labor-intensive tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in warehouse, manufacturing, production, construction, landscaping, or similar labor-intensive environments.
- Familiarity with shipping, receiving, palletizing, or inventory-related tasks.
- Experience operating pallet jacks, hand trucks, or other material-handling equipment is a plus.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience using basic hand tools are beneficial.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $15.00 - $16.00/hr.
