Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3x12-Hour Shifts) | 13- or 26-Week Contract Options | 36- or 48-Hour Weekly Options

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 45-bed Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit serving adult patients with acute and chronic conditions including sepsis, respiratory illnesses, gastrointestinal disorders, endocrine conditions, and cardiac diseases.
• Administer and manage IV drips as required across all floors.
• Utilize digital tools including digital door signs, digital whiteboards, virtual nursing support, and virtual patient monitoring systems to enhance communication and patient safety.
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records.
• Float within scope to meet facility staffing needs across multiple units, including potential float to an additional campus; travelers are first to float and must be prepared to do so frequently.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including CNAs, care techs, transport team, paramedics/swoop, and LPNs (where assigned).

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Nebraska license required; pending license accepted, though confirmed start date may be adjusted if license is not in hand at time of submission).
• Minimum 2 years of Telemetry experience required, obtained at a large, urban hospital or Level I Academic Medical Center.
• BLS certification required.
• Proficiency with EPIC charting required.
• First-time travelers not accepted; exceptions may be considered for candidates with 2 or more years of experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center.
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred.
• CPI certification preferred.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred.
• Experience working in a large academic medical center or high-acuity hospital environment.
