Under general supervision, performs waived, moderate, and high complexity testing; evaluates test results; performs and evaluates quality control procedures; performs preventive maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting. Provides laboratory services in a timely manner and consistently delivers excellent customer service. Serves as a technical resource for customers and other staff. Adheres to all safety policies. Performs other related CLS functions as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSGraduation from college with a major in a relevant field.
Must have a current Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or appropriate sub-specialty license issued by the State of California, Department of Public Health.
Knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of duties assigned to the position.
Previous relevant experience.
Blood Bank experience.
At least two years of applicable clinical laboratory experience.
Experience with SoftLab LIS and Epic.
Experience with the following automated instrumentation Iris IChem\IQ, Sysmex XN and CS-2500, Siemens EXL, Ortho Vision.
Generalist skills - Hematology / Chemistry
- Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, overtime, and at various locations as necessary in accordance with operational needs.

Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $110,079 - $145,408 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $52.72 - $69.64
