Electronics Technician

Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill an Electronics Technician job in Bloomfield, CT. This CONTRACT hire job is available with one of our key customers in the manufacturing industry. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, and supporting legacy and new elevator control system electronics. In order to be successful in this position, you must have hands-on PCB assembly, soldering, and test experience. Preference will be given to someone with an AS in Electrical Engineering or BS in Electrical Engineering Technology.

Electronics Technician Job responsibilities:

• Procure components, organize BOMs, and assemble and solder prototype PCBs using stencils, microscopes, and reflow ovens.
• Load software and firmware onto assemblies and test PCB performance.
• Build test circuits and test equipment for development and prototyping.
• Perform first article inspections and failure analysis on field returned assemblies.
• Maintain and repair test equipment and simulators used in electronics repair.
• Support the engineering lab, including instrument calibration and consumables.

Qualifications:

• Hands-on PCB fabrication and test experience
• AS in Electrical Engineering or BS in Electrical Engineering Technology
• Familiarity with electrical engineering CAD tools
• Knowledge of lab instruments, test equipment, and hand tools
• Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude

This contract Electronics Technician job is based in Bloomfield, CT. The hourly pay rate for this role ranges from $25.00 - $28.00. Contractors working through Aquinas Consulting are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, medical indemnity coverage, a 401(k) plan, and biweekly direct deposit pay. Contract roles do not include PTO unless required by applicable state laws.
