Reports To: Line Manager or Operations Manager
Are you interested in aviation, enjoy working outdoors, and want a job where every day brings something different? As a Line Service Technician with Ascension FBO Network, you will work directly around aircraft while providing essential ground support to pilots, passengers, and flight crews.
Previous aviation experience is not required. We provide hands-on, on-the-job training to help you learn safe aircraft-handling procedures, fueling operations, equipment use, and customer-service expectations.
This position is a great entry point into the aviation industry, with opportunities to develop new skills and advance into additional roles within line operations, customer service, leadership, and other areas of aviation.
Position ObjectiveThe Line Service Technician represents Ascension FBO Network in a safe, friendly, and professional manner while providing aviation ground services to our customers. Success in this role is measured by the ability to follow established safety procedures, work effectively as part of a team, and create a positive experience for every customer.
What You’ll DoFuel aircraft safely and accurately in accordance with established procedures.
Tow, marshal, wing walk, and provide general ground support for various types of aircraft.
Welcome arriving aircraft, pilots, passengers, and flight crews in a friendly and professional manner.
Assist with aircraft arrivals and departures to help ensure efficient and safe operations.
Perform routine inspections of equipment and facilities and document findings.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized ramp that is free of debris and hazards.
Keep hangars, workspaces, and other facilities clean and organized.
Communicate customer requests and feedback to the appropriate Ascension team members.
Perform basic lawn care, janitorial, and facility-support duties as assigned.
Immediately report safety incidents, equipment concerns, or potential hazards to management.
Follow emergency and incident-response procedures when required.
Complete ongoing safety and operational training.
Perform other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Valid state-issued driver’s license.
Ability to pass all company-required background checks.
Strong customer-service and interpersonal skills.
Clear verbal communication skills and the ability to complete written documentation.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Basic math skills.
Ability to follow safety procedures and work effectively as part of a team.
Dependability and willingness to learn in a fast-paced aviation environment.
Ability to perform line-service duties outdoors in extreme temperatures and inclement weather.
Sufficient vision, awareness, and coordination to safely work around aircraft, fuel trucks, vehicles, equipment, and hoses.
Ability to frequently walk, stand, stretch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, sit, and climb.
Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include overtime, early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Hands-on, on-the-job training.
