- Night shifts primary ‐‐ 6 pm ‐ 6 am, 12hr shifts in consecutive blocks
- Day shifts: 6 am ‐ 2 pm; evening shifts: 1 pm ‐ 9 pm available
- Approx 6 ‐ 8 shifts per month, likely consecutive or in blocks
- Estimated 20,000 visits per year
- Hospitalists handle admissions ‐‐ ER providers participate in Code response
- Newborn deliveries received in ED ‐‐ L&D department on‐site
- ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS required
- Ongoing assignment
