Custom Machine Builder | Direct Hire

Location: White Bear Lake, MN

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Pay: $25-$35+/hour, Depending on Experience

Build Custom Equipment From the Ground Up

We are seeking an experienced Custom Machine Builder to join a growing team in White Bear Lake. This direct-hire opportunity offers the chance to build unique machines, fixtures, and automation equipment from concept to completion in a clean, organized manufacturing environment.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, solving mechanical challenges, and seeing a project through from blueprint to final testing.

Responsibilities
  • Build custom machines, equipment, and fixtures from start to finish
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and build documentation
  • Assemble mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to complete assemblies
  • Perform machining, fabrication, welding, and modification work as needed
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and assembly issues during the build process
  • Test and verify machine performance to ensure quality and functionality
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and production personnel to achieve project goals
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment
Qualifications
  • Previous machine building, machinery assembly, maintenance, automation, or fabrication experience
  • Strong blueprint and schematic reading skills
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot complex assemblies
  • Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, or automation systems preferred
  • Welding, machining, or fabrication experience is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Work Environment

This position is based in a clean, well-maintained machine-building shop equipped with hand tools, power tools, welders, mills, lathes, and other fabrication equipment. The role focuses on custom machine and fixture builds rather than repetitive production work.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $35.00/hr.
