Collections Specialist

We are looking for a Collections Specialist to contact customers with past-due accounts, set up payment arrangements, and help resolve delinquent balances. The ideal candidate is professional, organized, and comfortable handling difficult conversations.

Duties:

• Contact customers by phone, text, and email about past-due accounts.
• Discuss payment options and set up payment arrangements.
• Follow up with customers who miss payments.
• Keep accurate account notes and records.
• Handle higher-risk and seriously delinquent accounts.
• Use skip tracing tools to locate customers when needed.
• Identify accounts that may need to be referred for repossession.
• Monitor vehicle and insurance information on applicable accounts.
• Follow all collection laws, company policies, and required call procedures.
• Work with the team to meet collection goals.

Requirements:

• 1–2 years of collections experience preferred.
• Auto loan or other consumer lending experience is a plus.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Comfortable speaking with customers about overdue payments.
• Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Basic computer skills and experience with CRM systems.

Job Details:

• Full time: M-F, weekends available.
• Pay: $20.00
