Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Proposal Coordinator to support the development of customer service proposals for spare parts, equipment rebuilds, service, and training. This role involves reviewing technical specifications, coordinating with internal teams and vendors, preparing cost estimates, and developing accurate customer proposals.
The ideal candidate has strong Excel skills, the ability to interpret technical information, and experience working with parts, pricing, or material management in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review customer specifications and determine material, labor, and service requirements
- Prepare customer proposals, quotes, and cost breakdowns using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Coordinate with engineering, purchasing, and material planning teams to gather technical information and pricing
- Review quotes and proposals for accuracy, completeness, and cost efficiency
- Develop and maintain cost grids outlining material and labor expenses
- Request and review vendor quotes for parts and services
- Coordinate internal proposal review meetings and communicate with customers as needed
- Work with bills of materials (BOMs), part numbers, and revision-controlled documentation
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience in material management, inventory control, purchasing, sales support, or a related field
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including experience creating macros
- Ability to read and interpret technical data, specifications, and parts documentation
- Familiarity with BOM structures, part numbering, and revision control
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with Oracle systems
- Background in manufacturing, industrial equipment, robotics, or automation
