Job Developer

Description:

The Job Developer builds lasting relationships with employers to create employment opportunities for Success Centers participants. Working closely with Career Advisors, the Job Developer identifies job leads, supports placements, and helps employers connect with qualified talent.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain partnerships with Bay Area employers to create ongoing job opportunities.
• Reach out to businesses and participate in employer and community networks.
• Identify job leads that match participants’ skills and career goals.
• Work with Career Advisors to support job placements and provide follow-up coaching that helps participants stay employed.
• Help employers with recruitment and hiring through tailored services, workshops, and other support.
• Maintain current employer contacts, job leads, and placement information in Casebook and other program records.
• Represent Success Centers at employer and community events.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Two years of experience in workforce development, career counseling, or employment services. A related bachelor’s degree may substitute for one year of experience.
• Experience with employer engagement, job development, and job-readiness training.
• Strong communication, presentation, and customer service skills.
• Ability to use labor market information, Microsoft Office, and client database systems.
• Ability to build relationships with people from diverse backgrounds and travel regularly to employer and partner sites throughout the Bay Area.
