Respiratory Shop / Warehouse Technician
Hahnville, LA
Duration: 12-Month Contract
About the Role
We are seeking a safety-focused and dependable Respiratory Shop / Warehouse Technician to support respiratory equipment management and warehouse operations at a large industrial site. This role combines hands-on equipment inspection and maintenance with inventory control, material handling, and warehouse support activities.
Key Responsibilities
Respiratory Shop Operations
- Inspect, clean, maintain, and test respiratory protection equipment.
- Perform bump testing and functional checks on gas detection monitors.
- Inspect and maintain fresh air cylinders and related equipment.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and compliance documentation.
- Manage equipment issuance, returns, rentals, and inventory tracking.
- Identify damaged or expired equipment and coordinate corrective actions.
- Support emergency response readiness through equipment availability.
Warehouse Operations
- Receive, inspect, store, issue, and transport materials throughout the facility.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
- Load and unload deliveries and perform material transfers.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and support cycle count activities.
- Perform warehouse transactions using computer-based systems.
- Stage materials for maintenance, operations, and project teams.
- Maintain warehouse organization and housekeeping standards.
Required Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, inventory, logistics, or material handling experience.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to learn SAP, inventory systems, and mobility applications.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliable work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in an industrial environment.
