A local law firm with a facility in the Lansing, MI area is currently seeking a Legal Clerk for Direct Hire opportunities with their growing team. Legal Clerk rates are anticipated to start between $25-28/hour based on each candidate’s experience and education, plus a generous annual bonus structure. All well qualified candidates will be considered regardless of pay rate. We offer excellent benefits including great medical, dental, 401k, and paid time off.

Qualified Legal Clerks will have most, if not all, of the following skills and experience:

·         3+ years of recent/relevant experience working as a Legal Assistant in a law firm, preferably with a focus on personal injury or medical law.

·         Proficiency with the Smoke Ball CMS is preferred, but similar software is okay.

·         Must be strong with typing. Experience with dictation is a plus.

·         Strong writing and communication skills to work with attorneys and clients is required.

·         Must be able to work in the United States (no H-1 sponsorship or student visas considered)

·         Must be able to complete standard pre-hire checks including background, drug screen, references, etc.
