Job Description
A growing manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Painter to support our production team. This position is responsible for preparing and applying high-quality industrial coatings to metal components and assemblies in a clean, organized shop environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare metal parts for paint (cleaning, masking, sanding, solvent wipe-down)
- Mix and apply urethane-based coatings
- Operate HVLP spray equipment, including Graco Sharpe spray guns
- Ensure consistent coverage and professional-quality finish
- Inspect painted parts for runs, defects, or inconsistencies
- Perform touch-ups and rework as needed
- Maintain paint booth, tools, and materials
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
Qualifications
- 3+ years of industrial or equipment painting experience
- Experience with urethane or two-part coating systems
- Skilled with HVLP spray systems
- Ability to properly mix coatings and understand cure times
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable attendance and team-oriented mindset
