Job Description
Business Analyst (In Plant)
The Business Analyst supports the Plant Manager and plant leadership team by preparing and analyzing reports, developing business intelligence (BI) tools and dashboards, and creating presentations that help inform operational decisions. This role works closely with managers across the plant to understand business needs, organize information, and communicate insights clearly. The position also provides limited administrative support to the Plant Manager, including calendar management, meeting scheduling, and coordination of leadership schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting and Analysis
• Prepare, maintain, and distribute recurring operational and management reports.
• Analyze data to identify trends, variances, and areas that may require further review.
• Validate information for accuracy and consistency before sharing reports or analysis.
• Respond to ad hoc reporting and analysis requests from the Plant Manager and management team.
• Summarize findings and present information in a clear, practical format.
Business Intelligence and Process Improvement
• Use existing BI tools to access, organize, and visualize plant data.
• Help develop and improve dashboards, reports, and other BI solutions based on business needs.
• Work with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and identify useful data sources.
• Document reporting processes and support efforts to improve data quality and reporting efficiency.
Management Team Partnership
• Build effective working relationships with plant leaders and functional teams.
• Gather information and clarify business questions to support analysis and decision-making.
• Follow up with stakeholders to coordinate inputs, resolve information gaps, and meet reporting deadlines.
• Handle business information responsibly and maintain appropriate confidentiality. Presentations and Communication
• Develop presentations, charts, and briefing materials for plant leadership meetings and other business reviews.
• Organize information so key takeaways and supporting details are easy to understand.
• Support the preparation of meeting materials and follow-up information as requested. Administrative and Scheduling Support
• Manage the Plant Manager’s calendar and coordinate meeting requests.
• Schedule meetings and coordinate schedules among plant leaders and other participants.
• Support meeting logistics, including invitations, agendas, materials, and follow-up coordination.
• Assist with other administrative tasks related to the Plant Manager’s office as needed.
Skills Required:
Data Analysis, Microsoft Excel, Power BI - Data Visualization
Experience Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, analytics, finance, operations, information systems, or a related field; equivalent education or experience may be considered.
• Strong attention to detail and interest in working with data.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with employees at different levels of the organization.
Experience Preferred:
• Internship, project, or coursework experience in business analysis, reporting, operations, or data analytics.
• Exposure to databases, data-querying tools, or reporting systems.
• Experience coordinating calendars, meetings, or schedules.

Bachelor's Degree
