About the Role:
JEM Treatment, Inc is looking for a friendly and organized Receptionist for our out-patient Methadone Program in Waukegan, IL. where your communication skills and positive attitude will make a real impact every single day. Our hours are Monday through Friday from 5:15am to 1:15pm and Saturdays from 5:45am to 10:45am. We are closed on Sundays.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients, and visitors in a warm and professional manner
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls and inquiries to the appropriate staff
- Schedule and confirm appointments, managing the front desk calendar efficiently
- Maintain accurate patient records and data entry using office management software
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and general correspondence
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and presentable at all times
- Assist all staff with clerical support as needed
- Urine testing for in-house and send-out specimens
- Collect payments and assist with insurance verification
- Other responsibilities as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Prior receptionist/ front desk preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in computer skills and general office equipment
- Highly organized with strong multitasking and time management abilities
- Professional, empathetic, and customer-service-oriented demeanor
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Must possess a valid drives license and reliable transportation
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be able to pass a drug screening test as required by law
- Punctuality is a must
- Working every second Saturday is required
