Concrete Flatwork Laborer / Finisher

We are seeking an experienced Concrete Flatwork Laborer / Finisher for ongoing commercial concrete work throughout Wisconsin. Candidates should have solid previous concrete flatwork experience and be comfortable assisting with all phases of concrete placement and finishing. This position is best suited for someone based in the Appleton or Green Bay area who is comfortable with periodic travel for projects.

Location: Sun Prairie, WI / Appleton-Green Bay Area Pay: $25 to $30 per hour, based on experience Start Date: October 5, 2026

Schedule and Travel Details: The initial project is located at 150 Business Park Drive in Sun Prairie, WI, with a planned start date of October 5, 2026. The crew is expected to remain in Sun Prairie through approximately October 13. After that, work will be primarily local to the Appleton/Green Bay area, with approximately two days of travel in mid-November. The crew is then expected to return to the Madison area after Thanksgiving through approximately the first of the year.

Responsibilities

• Assist with commercial concrete flatwork projects
• Prepare areas for concrete placement
• Assist with forming, pouring, spreading, leveling, and finishing concrete
• Use screeds, floats, trowels, edgers, and other concrete tools
• Assist experienced finishers during pours
• Perform basic concrete finishing based on experience level
• Help with setup, cleanup, and general concrete labor
• Follow direction from the foreman and work effectively with the crew
• Maintain quality and productivity standards
• Follow all jobsite safety requirements

Requirements

• Previous concrete flatwork experience required
• Comfortable working around active concrete pours
• Ability to use common concrete and construction tools
• Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the shift
• Reliable transportation
• Willingness and ability to travel for scheduled out-of-town projects
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
