Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 12-Hour Shifts | Rotating Weekends | Projected Start: October 5, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Med-Surg/Oncology unit with a 6:1 patient ratio across 31 beds
• Perform thorough physical assessments and maintain accurate documentation using the Meditech system
• Care for acute care patients including stroke patients, applying knowledge of core measures and prevention of HACs and HAIs
• Demonstrate well-established A.I.D.E.T. behaviors and strong critical thinking skills in a fast-paced environment
• Float to other Med-Surg and Telemetry units as needed per facility floating policy
• Utilize iPhones with the Immobile app for unit communication and operate computers and scanners available in every room

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Louisiana (or compact eligibility)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience
• Excellent physical assessment, documentation, and time management skills
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Chemotherapy administration experience is a plus
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and stroke patient care protocols
