Senior Quality Inspector

Location: Fremont, CA. 

Schedule: 5 am - 1:30 pm 

Pay Rate: $20.00 – $30.00 / hour

Experience Required: 8–10+ years of progressive quality inspection experience

Key Responsibilities

• Inspection Leadership: Lead and perform complex First Article Inspections (FAI) and advanced quality control checks.

• Non-Conformance & MRB: Lead or participate in Material Review Board (MRB) meetings to analyze and determine dispositions for non-conforming materials.

• Root Cause & Corrective Action: Conduct root cause analyses and partner with engineering teams to implement corrective actions.

• Equipment Calibration: Oversee the calibration of complex inspection equipment and ensure strict protocol compliance.

• Audits & Projects: Support internal/external audits and manage continuous quality improvement projects.

• Team Mentorship: Train and mentor junior inspectors to boost overall team capabilities.

Preferred Skills & Certifications

• Advanced certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI), AWS Certified Weld Inspector (CWI), or similar credentials.

• Advanced expertise in metrology, calibration protocols, and statistical process control (SPC).

• Hands-on audit navigation experience and deep familiarity with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001).

• Strong cross-functional leadership skills with proficiency in statistical analysis tools.

Basic Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• 8–10 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing or shop floor environment.

• Solid understanding of standard precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers) and technical math.

• Demonstrated ability to manage quality projects and lead cross-functional teams.
